HydroAire Airfluidized Therapy
HydroAire AFT beds are considered the gold standard for patients with non-healing Stage 3 and 4 ulcers on the trunk or pelvis. These beds lead to better outcomes, enabling healthcare agencies to reduce the number of visits while increasing healing rates. The newest HydroAire™ model showcases the best in Air Fluidized Therapy (AFT), offering improved fluidization, quieter operation, and reduced heat. Research indicates that patients heal three times faster with AFT compared to conventional Group 2 surfaces.
The HydroAire AFT bed offers several advanced features for patients with non-healing Stage 3 and 4 ulcers. The patient's body envelops into the bead media, which conforms to their shape and evenly distributes weight. While normal capillary closure is 32 mmHg, pressure levels on the HydroAire AFT bed are in the low teens, reducing the need for repositioning. This bed provides an optimal environment for enhancing blood flow and wound healing. The serviceable design places all operating components at the rear pedestal for easy access. Its new and improved blower technology results in less noise, room heat build-up, and power consumption compared to other AFT beds. GoreTex® sheets prevent shearing, friction, and maceration issues. The modular design allows installation in small homes, with the pedestals, tub, and beads set up separately. The tub is made of durable Kydex®, and the bed features eight durable casters for institutional use. The easy-to-use handheld pendant controls fluidization and temperature functions, and the new adjustable mechanical headrest provides head elevation and is lightweight for easy removal.
