Meet Our Founder
Kalvin Hinton is a seasoned healthcare entrepreneur, 100% disabled veteran, and founder of Applesoft Medical Solutions—a veteran-owned medical supply company specializing in advanced wound care, patient mobility, and safe patient handling. With over 20 years of nursing experience and 15 years in the durable medical equipment (DME) sector, Kalvin has built a strong reputation for clinical innovation and operational excellence within both private and government healthcare spaces.

Through Applesoft Medical Solutions, Kalvin has led the expansion into advanced wound therapy, air fluidized support surfaces, and skin substitute distribution. He manages a multistate network of independent sales representatives and is actively working to scale the company’s reach through strategic investment and federal procurement opportunities. Central to Kalvin’s mission is eliminating unnecessary limb amputations, particularly among veterans and underserved populations. He is currently forming a nonprofit organization to educate physicians, healthcare providers, and the community on evidence-based interventions for limb preservation.

A committed advocate and community leader, Kalvin serves on the Bigger Better Business Committee of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and is a member of the Arlington Black Chamber of Commerce. He also hosts “Docktails,” a business networking event that connects professionals through shared interests in boating, commerce, and collaboration.
